Finishing e30 Project - Need mechanic in WA

    Hi,

I have had an ongoing e30 project for quite sometime and have sank lots of money in it without much use. It has been in storage for quite some time now. It has a m50NV and about two years ago I rebuilt the top end only to find out the bottom end was cracked. I want to pick up the project again and finally have the e30 back on the road.

I have just sourced another m50NV engine, so the drop should be straightforward. Unfortunately I don't have the tools or expertise to complete the job, but I do have the funds. I'm hoping to get a mechanic recommended that can help me with this. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm located in the Seattle area.

Let me know any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Alex

E30josh (Josh F) does great work in Anacortes. He's doing a full 5sp swap on my car and he's got a trailer to pick-up/deliver if necessary. Hit him up and see if he's got some free time, my project is just about finished.

Give Rand at Quattro Season Autowerks a call. He's here in town, just off Iowa Street. Stand up guy. Last time I stopped in (a few weeks ago), he was in the middle of an s50 swap for a customer's e30.

Thanks for the recommendations guys, I just reached out to Josh. I'm not longer up North in Bham, haven't updated my profile in quite some time. I'm down in Seattle now. If anyone else cant point me in the right direction, please share.

If it's a project I'd make sure to invest the time/effort upfront to get it to the right guy - as long as it's within reason you're better served finding someone you're comfortable is a good business-person and won't run you around than you are finding someone local. If it means a few more bucks getting parts and cars from one place to another, so be it (in my opinion).
