    WTB 885 Head locally

Anyone have a good one lying around? I am past the minimum divots on mine, I just clayed and clearance is an issue...

I saw your thread. Can't wait for a thicker gasket, or worried about warpage?

      Crazy right.... I'm so close!!!

      Live and learn.

No: I ended up speaking with Kevin Doyle in search of a MLS gasket... He was awesome and took the time to share his experiences with MLS; they run them quite a bit. To do it properly I would need to deck the block, and run ARP studs.

I'm n/a, and this is not a race car... So now I'm looking where the $ makes getting a new head reasonable.

The head I have is great if I was a bit more confident. This is my first rebuild, and I don't want to risk a piston hitting the head, and losing the bottom end... But the pop in compression would have been nice...

Kevin knows his stuff and is a great guy to hang with..

If you were closer I would offer to just swap one of my spare heads with you, but sounds like you are needing a solution quick.

I appreciate it. I had this week off and was hoping to button her back up. At this point I don't think that possible; so shooting to complete it in the next weekend or so.

Sterling Hoffman is trying to sell a 731 head, might be an option. You'd have to drive to go get it though.

Saw that... I just ordered the thicker MLS to get my clearances more comfortable. Thanks
