Anyone in the Camas/ Washougal area?

Hey guys, just out an offer on a house in the Camas/Washougal area.
Wondering what it's like living over there?
    Any shitty pockets?
    How's the BMW scene?
Coming from being born and raised in the Portland area, I know nothing else haha

There's a few of us out here. Me and ajhowza on here are from camas and there's a few guys around us that are into various bmw's. One guy that works downtown has an e30 m3. Some bmwcca guys too with some nice rides.

I'd avoid the area at the camas/washougal line (too many scumbag junkies) and the area right next to downtown washougal isn't the best but not too bad.The washougal area around the high school has some nice neighborhoods and so the does the north and west camas areas towards Vancouver like prune hill and around lacamas lake

Overall I love living here. Low crime and friendly police, schools, lots of trails and ease of access to the gorge and Portland. Downtown camas and washougal both are expanding and have some nice brew pubs and restaurants. Also golf and shooting ranges if you do either. Washougal is cheaper to live in fyi

I live right there on the aforementioned Camas/Washougal line and its pretty ghetto, but its cheap and I have a garage. We refer to the general area as Camougal. I grew up out in Camas near Livingston Mt. and love it out there. Its got a nice small town feel, but you are so close to Portland and Vancouver that you aren't isolated at all. Overall its a great place to live.

Lots of good bars/pubs popping up in Washougal these days. The whole area shuts down pretty early though. Been plenty of nights where its hard to find something open past 9-10. Washougal tends to be a little more redneck, so the BMW scene is pretty minimal compared to all the kids in their 'Yota wheelers.
