I paid $2100CAN (approx $1400USD at current exchange rate of 0.697) to redo my entire interior.

That is for parts, materials used and labour to make my front and rear seats the way I want may not be the same as what you have in mind for your seats.

That's my issue, 6000 miles for a pair of seats to travel is a heck of a distance.

He can make the new skins, send them with any foam and you have a local upholsterer install them for you.

Tim's work is very good. He pays alot of attention to the fine details and is an expert when it comes to Recaros.

I dropped off my rear seats to him last weekend and we went over how he does his stitching and where he puts reinforcements and little details like gluing the seated surfaces to the foam backing to make sure it stays in place and doesn't wrinkle after a few uses.

We went over how he was going to rebuild the foam on my e21 recaros, because we thought at the time the foam is no longer available. Then I found out that the same style Recaros were offered on Ford Mustangs between 1979 to 1982:

Anyways to answer your question: Yes Tim @ Velocity is very skilled at doing upholstery work and foam rebuilding. The only problem is that he is incredibly BUSY!

I guess that's what happens when you are the best.

His work is top notch, probably the best when it comes to Recaros, but you will need to be very patient. I have waited over a year to get my turn, and he has at least two other guys that have been waiting even longer. If you want world class, show winning interior that's the price you pay.

Upholstery work is an art and if you appreciate the craft you will Love Tim's work. Just remember a good craftsman ain't cheap and if you want the best you will have to be patient.
