    Moving to Everett, WA

Hey guys I'm getting stationed in Everett. Been looking at some places to live. Just wanting some insight on where to go and also avoid.
Looking at both apartments and duplexes. Favoring towards a place with a garage but anything works.
    Cheers, Alex

People will say stay away from casino road. My friends are from the ghetto part of Dallas TX. And are like this isn't anything. Not when you're used to hearing gunshots. Avoid north everett east side of Broadway. Everywhere else is pretty neutral.

Casino road is still worse than north Everett. I lived right off broadway for 3.5 years and it wasn't bad.

I'd recommend somewhere in north everett (north of 41st) silver lake area or outside of everett entirely (lynnwood, edmonds, mukilteo, mill creek).

        This.

Lynnwood still have very affordable living and is a nice area without the craziness you'll find in Everett/Casino Road.

I personally live right off of 164th, and my neighborhood is super quiet and awesome.

I live just south east of silverlake, super quiet yet still close to everything. STAY AWAY FROM CASINO ROAD, yes that's in caps haha. Anything in south Everett, west of i5 is horrible too (4th ave).

LMFAO unless you're well equipped with firearms and a flak jacket

How many Casinos are on that road, really?

Heard plenty of low income apartments housing there, where many of single mothers pole dancers live and their dealers too.

I grew up in Marysville and out on the Tulalip Reservation. I would fully agree that you do not want to live on casino road. Lynwood is nice and typically most of the traffic is headed south into Seattle or onto 405.
North Everett will be closer to base for you. Marysville isn't a bad area. It really depends on how far you want to drive to get to work. Also is this for shore duty or sea duty? If sea duty and it's to one of the carriers keep in mind that they do there up keeps and maintenance at PSNS in Bremerton. That being said you'll be in Kitsap county at some point.
