Certainly didn't go this year (work) however while the drive sucks we always would go up a day before, get a condo, and enjoy the weekend.

The drive is awful, I do agree with that.

Ironically on the way to Moses Lake I saw 4 broken down VW's on the Pass + one stanced to shit mercedes with a giganic sticker across the windsheild

perhaps he couldn't see out of it to drive?

Did the Leavenworth drive about 3 years ago. Honestly I thought it was kinda lame. Lots of driving, a "speeding ticket" for rolling down a hill to fast in my '86 325e (bone stock) while a Ferrari and Aston Martin sped by in the fast lane doing twice my speed, and then no parking in Leavenworth.
I guess it could be fun if you drove with a group and made sure you left the staging area early to get parking before everyone ells shows up.

There was one of the nicest, cleanest e-21 i have ever seen. Glacier blue, or close. Some shaving in the engine bay. It is a beauty!

Lots of nice cars this year. The Canadian imported blue RS2 was easily my favorite.

The best car for me was an almost perfect E21. Younger kid, light blue. Absolute beauty!
