    WTB: Steering Rack (airbag car)

If anyone can provide a lead on a z3 steering rack I'd be interested...even if that is a link to the best price online. Looking for the 2.7 LTL. Thanks

I've sourced a 3.2 LTL rack from a non-M e36 for $100 at a used parts lot. I'm okay with purchasing that one, but modifying the firewall and generating a new plate to hold the steering shaft boot is not something I'm particularly keen on doing.

z3 might be a longer search process...

If you have or know of where I could find a replacement e30 stock steering rack (from an airbag car), please let me know. Thank you

You can buy a remanufactured one from RackDr, that's what I'd do.

Sooo I got a Maval remanufactured rack from: https://www.blunttech.com/products/10446590

That was in 2011, at half the price of OE I took the risk, just recently it started leaking. Hit up Blunt and they sent me a new one under warranty.

I paid 250$ in 2013 for a Z3 reman rack from rock auto. Installed it in my 1991 318is. Hacked up the fire wall and sealed it with non conventional methods
