Cranks, but won't start e90. Shop recommendations?

I bought a 325Xi 6 speed manual for a nice daily driver. I came out to it in the morning and it started for about 20 seconds then died.

I ran a few easy tests of my own. Scanned it with no codes, and ran a fuel pressure test. Next I checked for spark and it has that as well. After that I was out of ideas and sent it to a shop.

The shop has had it for a few weeks and misdiagnosed a throttle position sensor. They have been working diligently to find out whats going on without luck.

So far they have found out that once the car fires and starts for less than a second it will die. The shop told me the injectors have a hanging voltage. They believe it needs a new ECU, but are not 100% sure. Luckily, they are not charging me any labor on the diagnostic fees because they can not figure it out.

Does anyone have a recommendation on where to take it? The shop recommends the dealer...

Any ideas on what could be causing this?

We (Accuracy in Gig Harbor) can probably take it Monday. If it does need an ECU we can order those in and program if required.

If it IS an ECU the dealer will be the fastest however.

I'm not able to get the car over there Monday. I'll shoot you a PM.
