Looking for "good" driver side sports seat frame/brackets

FOUND ONE !! Thanks to Mack in Keizer !!!

I have a 90 325iS with Natur Leather upholstery in good condition. My drivers seat frame/brackets whatever the heck you want to call the seat infrastructure has major issues and I'm wondering if anyone in the Portland area has a decent driver seat laying around they would be willing to part with.

I don't care about the leather as I'd have mine transferred over to the new frame. I've been told the "upper seat back" (whatever that means) is OK but I'm having a difficult time with translation which is all MY fault for being a mechanical idiot.

I've talked to Walter at bimmerseat.com and he's quoted me $600 if I ship mine to him in Hayward, CA and he'd transfer over the soft parts to a better condition frame. Dave at Aardvark may have a decent frame/brackets/whatever he's willing to sell for a reasonable price but he's a few weeks away from getting his inventory cataloged. If anyone here in Portland had a good frame/brackets they're willing to sell I wouldn't have to screw around with shipping.

Probably a pipe dream but I thought I'd give it a shot before I go the more complicated route.

    Thanks,
    Jon

Jon, are you just in need of the lower seat half only, or do you need the gear boxes (located on the sides) as well? I have quite a few lower frames.

      Austin,

I wish I could answer intelligently but I believe I need both. Let me see if I can get some clarity from my mechanic (Joseph @ Munich). I'll let you know.

      Thanks,
      Jon

        bump.

Austin I sent you a PM. My lack of mechanical prowess and terminology isn't helping my plight.
