    Portland, OR guys help!

So I was driving to work today and my f**king head gasket took a crap on me. Water in the oil, overheating, the works. So I need to replace it, but I've never pulled the head before and I could use a bit of help. Any of you guys (Tom, Ken, Joe) want to help a brotha out one of these afternoons?

    Darin

EDIT: free beer for all who help!

Buy a manual and the parts and go for it. It's really not very hard.

Oh yeah, a shoulder to cry on...

Srsly, get headbolts, HG set, new gaskets for TB (intake and water crap) timing belt, water pump tensioner, degreaser, spray paint.

Take your head off, have it pressure tested and new VG seals put in. Cost me $125 with a fresh surface.

I cleaned the shit out of everything, put it together all pretty and running great...then the shit-nosed brats on R3V picked apart my install! WAAAAHHH! They said I was missing a hoseclamp! Waaaaaaaaaaaah!

          Yeah, just like that.

          It is not that hard.

my dad is out of town till next wednesday, so I have his Subie till then. So it needs to me relatively soon, I already started the tear-down. However I am also considering getting the parts together for my stroker/rebuild and just starting on that, i'll get a rental until it's finished. I'll know more by the end of the day.

OK so i've decided to just fix the head gasket/t-belt/tensioner/water pump/front cam seal, and I'll build my stroker on the side with a spare engine. I don't forsee myself building that motor in 1 week before i loose access to a spare car. Soooooooo anyone who wants to help out some afternoon(s), I promise lots of yummy beer :)

Let me know when and where and I'll see what I can do. My dad is in town for the next couple of days from Houston so I'll probably be unavailable, but next week should be great for me.
