A PDX meet August 29th

After the success of the last pdx meet lets have another? lets say August 26th at the Sonic Drive In in hillsboro? lets say 5pm? lets go with that.

what about a pdx meeting in pdx why would we want to go all the way to Hillsboro? just my 2 cents. I'm in for what ever if there are others down for it and theres a plan.

yeah totally I would be down for it but make it in P-town, we could have it at the green meadows parking lot, or where ever?

Green meadows is in Vancouver not p-town. whats are goal? a place to meet good food and a kick ass drive? lets think about this in those terms and pick a start point and then a finish. maybe mall 205 to German town road i know theres a place on top that has great food and what a drive. or hwy 14 up the gorge there's a fun road. Matthew do you play golf? I played Green meadows two weeks ago.

the last meet i put together was meeting at starbucks in beaverton and we all just hung out. there is not a lot of places in vancouver that a group of loud (sometimes) cars can meet up and a group of people hang out with out the cops showing up. i have people that drive up from salem to meet up, so dont complain how far from vancouver hillsboro is.

i dont put together meet and drives because no matter what people say someone wants to drive unsafe and that gets the whole group in trouble. if you want to meet in vancouver and make a cruise out to to hillsboro, that would be ok.

something else you need to understand is there are more people than just r3v peeps from vancouver going (did you foreget that i live in da couv also?and im coming up with this idea!). i advertise the same meet on bimmerforums, s14.net and sometimes e30tech to get alot of people to go. the starbucks meet i mentioned before had 20+ cars there. im trying for more everytime.

How about we all me at jantzen beach or somewhere that it is easy to get to, lot of parking in front of target, we can then drive from there to gorge(great for taking pics if ur car) or germantowne road.

youre missing my point. its easy for people that live in vancouver to get to jantzen beach. not so much for SE PDX or beaverton. the idea is to have a area that EVERYONE has a equal distance to get to so no one bitches about having to drive further than someone else. hillsboro on a sunday afternoon shouldnt take more than MAYBE 25 minutes to get to.

you noobs obviously havent heard of the track record that having "drives" have brought to forums. my first drive with dtm my friend flipped his STOCK 525i, theres been multiple accidents related to drives in northern washington. i dont promote drives when i make a post about meeting because of this. no one is forcing anyone to go, it was just a idea. if you dont like it dont show up.

but thats ok, ill go meet with the bimmerforums guys, they dont complain about location they just want to hang out (especially the salem guys). you guys do your "drive" and "photoshoot". the idea is to MEET. if you want to go DRIVE then make a seperate thread for one.

i think hillsboro sounds fine, its only about 40 min from where i live and i go there all the time anyways. and matt you should get a car first before you suggest drives and photoshoots. walk before you run buddy, cant ride shotgun with me forever:)

my daddy didnt buy my car, I have the drive to work and get a car with a job and working. You cant live at home and hav everything bought for ever.

I was only making other suggestions, and I wasnt saying we should or shouldnt. Because this is a communtiy of people and I was suggesting an alternate place to meet. Hillsboro is fine and i wasnt not disagreeing. You are right I dont have a car, but I am saving and actually working to get a better one. I do not want to split any hairs, but it seems like every time you make a suggestion you get narked on. Sorry if i pissed anybody off, i wont suggest anymore.
