    Need an exhaust! Please help!

I just got my e30 a few days ago and the exhaust is falling off, and sounds horrible. I'm looking for an exhaust for a 325es.

An old stock one or something I can bolt up cheep and easy?

You can get an OE replacement from Bav auto for pretty cheap. That is where i got my catback for my eta. It was about 140 plus shipping.

Hmm, that's good to know. Would it be cheaper to have a shop custom weld some piping on? I don't know any shops around this area?

The i exhausts don't fit, becuase they are two pipes correct?

I think they actually do fit. I'd search before that though.

Muffler shops are decent, if not just have them weld up the parts that are "falling off" or whatever...

From Bav Auto I'm looking at 200 shipped plus I probably need the install kit so it will hang there, so I'm looking at 250. That's a lot for an OEM exhaust, not a lot for a new exhaust however.

The current exhaust is just a resonator and pipe basically, jsut thrown together so the guy could sell the car. It's not worth fixing up I don't think.

I'd like to find a functional OEM exhaust someone is either getting rid of or off a parts car locally. Something inexpensive, if an i exhaust fits that would help me broaden my searches.

Have you checked with a shop to see if they could weld it together or make an attachment for a small amount?

If I got any performance gains I'd go aftermarket... but since there is no reason I just want something quiet and CHEAP!

Did you try aurora or what not?

I've only tried lynnwood pull a part, only thing there is a e30 vert that is pretty much molested.

I'm sure an exhaust job could do it but how much are you willing to pay to put a stock exhaust system on your es? It's almost worth just getting a whole new setup, just deal with that loud exhaust for now.

Yeah I know what you mean, it's just I don't see a benefit for me getting an aftermarket on these cars besides the look of the tips. I'm not looking for much sound at all.

I think I'll just keep searching for an e parts car I can grab an exhaust from.

My current exhaust is hanging and is about 2 inches off the ground, it's kind of embarrassing really.

I just got an 86' 325e and its doing the same thing. The pipe on the back of the muffler is completely detached. Its super custom ;) It makes me car sound like it going to die. I'm going to see if I can weld it back on. If you need any welding done my brother can do it for some money (yeah he charges me too :()
