Kid, enjoy the car, but be careful. Most of us don't really care if you end up killing yourself, but it hurts us every time an E30 dies an early death (plus, I actually do have friends and family on the roads and if you took one of them out... lets just say you better hope you died)

Get the safety stuff done on the car, like brakes and shocks and springs (if necessary) after the normal general maintenance and then get yourself out to the track for a skills course. Porsche and other clubs put them on. They are not very expensive.

Then, come out with me for a track day and really learn how to drive that thing before something bad happens. Then you can decide if you want to be a race driver or not.

So you live here in PDX and you are afraid of sliding around in rain? you got alot to learn. Start out by looking into (L)imited (S)lip (D)ifferential. It gives you more control in slides.
(its called RWD if you cant handle it go get a Honda)
