What I have at the moment, is a 1988 325is 5 speed.
It pukes oil everywhere
half of the buttons inside dont work
it gets hot in traffic
the int is trashed as hell
the cel is on
it has 250k
every panel has dents and spray paint
it clunks on every bump and ripple in the road
has about a 2 inch dead zone in the steering
a really sloppy shifter
broken headlight
the po put on a hot air intake, "euro-style" muffler and some "sweeeet azz" chrome wheels.
and thats just for starters.
I love it. I have never fallen in love with a car so fast. I picked it up as a daily/toy while I find and build a new slide toy. Now the plans have changed.
I came from the drifting scene before moving here to seattle. Mostly nissians, but A few toyotas here and there. My last car was purpose built, clean and caged, but divorce forced its sale at the time.
The Crux of my post is thus: I am looking for someone here in the seattle area who knows their stuff who is willing look over my new baby and give me some direction in turning her around. It would be even better if Someone out there can point me to the local drift events, and even some time attack if there is any in the area.
At 25, I have been around long enough to know that there are usually local people who know what is what and where to get the parts that I need at a decent price instead of learning it the hard way. Now I just need to meet said people.
Heres hopeing that there is someone out there is willing to point someone new to these cars and this area in the right direction.
No ARRRG! "DRIFTRZ" flameing please. Its not the only thing I do, just the hardest to find.
Thanks, Tom
