My friend's dad is a big stakeholder in it, so I've ben hearing about it for years. Good to see it's finally coming through! I really hope the economy doesn't force it to shut down though, it will be nice to have another track in the area.

It looks worth the 2hr drive if it all comes through.

The course is paved, but that's about it so far. It's south of the Dalles, in the middle of nowhere, which is why land is cheap. LOL.

Appears to be an OK place to go for the day, but for racers that need to be there for 2 or 3 days, there's very little for hotels so far. So lots of camping.

My beef with the track is it is a lot of 3rd gear stuff. OK for general lapping, but hardly any places to pass in a race. It'll need to get used for a while to get a reputation.

Tip of the hat that they have got this far with it. There's been talk about this track for a long time, and it was always "talk is cheap" but now that the course is paved, it's more than just talk.
