I was using google as well... I couldn't find one open during the winter.
There are a lot of roads around there I have been on that are pretty fun :)
*edit*
We COULD stay in Helen as I am guessing the rates on some of the cool places to stay are pretty damn good if you show up in December...
*edit*
That is open year round but man it doesn't look like much of a 'campsite'. There is wifi in the clubhouse hehe
*edit*
Same deal... has wifi and can't tell if it is actually open year round...
*edit edit*
What if we simply rent one of the badass cabins in the woods? I looked at them with some friends and we can get one that sleeps 8-10 in beds, obviously more on the floor or couches, and it would be 15-20 per person per night. Little more expensive but I don't see more than 10 coming to this event. I think that would be pretty badass to run the event out of the cabin. We can easily grill, cook, wake up and shower and just would be a cool setting with a wooded cabin with E30s parked out front!
Some have TVs and hot tub and fire pits outside etcLast edited by dinanm3atl; 11-03-2009, 08:20 AM.

There will be none of that brokeback mtn chit going on !
I thought about the cabins also.. Tallula falls area campground is open in Jan..
A cabin with showers and a fireplace would be super ...sigpic

I am not saying for brokeback mountain stuff sir. I am simply stating that some of the cabins are pretty nice and as more people come the rate goes down quickly per person, per night.
Many have multiple Cable TVs, WiFi, beds, showers, grills, fire pits, hot tubs and great views. I think it would make for a fun ass trip!

The deal really depends on the location, size, days we are staying and how many people come. 165-200 dollars a night with 10 people is not bad. If only 6 or 7 come it obviously is more expensive.
I know of some pretty damn cool cabins :)
I sent an email out to the regulars... if you weren't included PM me your emaila ddress and I add you intot he discussion!
