Me: "I can't wait to redline my car!"
Mark: "Didn't you just break a rocker arm?"
Me: "Yeah, I don't think I've learned my lesson."
Mark: "You never will."
really no point signing up, hope this year is a better turn out than past 5 years. I know this is about the only event that Raleigh guys drive out to. A whole lot of snobby people show up as well.
Like I said, this is not the best meet to see coolest cars and meet coolest BMW fans, this more like pilgrimage to e30 Mecca and meeter Ray Korman, an e30 prophet. Outside of that, event is pretty dull.
The BMW CCA back North defined pretentious and made most BMW CCA events a little dull. I'm hoping the Southern hospitality thing bleeds into BMW owners this way. Besides, all the snooty folks are usually there hoping for a discount and have no idea how to turn a wrench.
Either way, I'm looking forward to meeting Ray Korman and seeing the shop firsthand. It'll be great to see everyone as well.
Im going to get as many people there as possible. And yes, most of the BMWCCA events that I have been to have been a bit of a yawn. Most talk about there e46+ codes but Korman open house does have a good showing of e30s considering what else can show up. I take pride in my e30s knowing that it will stand out as more of a classic than a camry.
