    atlanta area questions..

i am looking to move to atlanta here very soon, was wondering what area's i should look in? i have looked a bit in the alpharetta/roswell area and i really like that area but i am open to anywhere really.. what are good places to look that are safe? what areas pro's and con's to the area? anywhere i should avoid? thanks for the info!

It all depends on what you consider safe. I personally have never been messed with where I live, but it would be considered a transitional neighborhood.
    Where would you be working?

i'm attempting to start an llc and might pick up a part time job as well so i am not completely tied down to a specific area but i would like to stay on the north side unless there are good reasons to go elsewhere.

Virginia Highlands, Chandler Park and Inman Park are the only places I really want to live in the city. However, I rent, so it's cheap and the best place in town IMO.

I live up in Marietta - West Cobb Co. (about 20 mins North of the city) and I love it. Close enough to the city, yet far enough away to have cheaper taxes and have a little more of a "country feel". Also - you don't have to fight for parking or parallel park very often. Streets are better for the lower e30s. Downtown streets absolutely punish wheels and suspensions...

All the happenings are on the north side. Gets more quiet and boring as you move south of ATL. I live abut 30mins south of downtown in peachtree city. On the upside, we are a golfcart community and I occasionally get to see the head hancho of AMG cruising in his SLS gullwing.

Dude, you live like 2 miles from me. and from Huff. and from Tony, and probably half a mile from my boy Ed. There's plenty of e30s in the hood.
