    Hey ATL Guys -

    I'm driving to Atlanta next sat and will be there for the evening. I'm selling one of my e30s and picking up a 2002. Looking for maybe a good skatepark to hit up, a good set of bars to go to and maybe a free place to crash? I'm not opposed to a hotel but it'd be cool to meet some local bimmerheads. I may or may not have a buddy with me - and I'll probably have from 2PM on to enjoy the city. I have a 12 hour drive back to Houston the next day so I'll probably be out early sunday.

    Any suggestions? On skatepark suggestions I'm a mini ramp/bowl addict. Not much of a street skater unless a good pyramid is involved.

      Well, there are some skateparks in metro atlanta. One is Hazard County in Mcdonough, another would be Decatur park. Hazard is way better IMO. As far as bars go, I will be at the Midway in east atlanta on Saturday night. I would say you could crash with us, but we have my girls family in town this weekend. PM me before you come up and I will give you the skinny on where else to go close to where you may be staying.

              ^^^ Wut? Boo... Your just a little early; there are 2 in town parks being built right now. Hazard is really the only one I will back. There is also the Atnalta park off of North Ave. It's kinda fun and in town too.. It's near Freedom Parkway and North Ave.

              Bars: You looking to Rock and Roll or take it easy for a few beers?

                              So, you like the night life baby (sing the cars when reading that). For Saturday night you have:

                              Book House (warm up for MJQ)
                              Ritous Room (warm up for the highlands/ highland inn)
                              El Myr (warm up for well.. anything.. it's a Mastadon spot/ have a grizz)

                              Highland Inn (if there is a show, any show, it's worth checking out)
                              Graveyard (indie dance off in East Atlanta)
                              MJQ (Hip hop room and pop room; young breezie's all around)
                              El Bar (hip you don't stop)
                              Noni's (dance party of all partys)

                              To name a few...

                                      The Earl (down from the midway Tattoo's and PBR)
                                      The Grange AKA the Marlay House (Irish pub owned by the Irish)
                                      The Local (my friends work there and it is pretty fun)
                                      The Brickstore (Belgian beer pub)
                                      Fontaines
                                      The dark Horse
                                      The Righteous Room
                                      And, Gravity Pub.

                                      And many more.

                                          Midway sounds like it. I said no beer because I don't like beer. Maybe about 6 7&7s.

                                              I am more of a dart guy, in fact, the whole bar is. But I am sure someone will oblige. My car is usually parked out front. You won't be able to miss it if I get there before you. It's an e30.
                                              I will be this guy.
                                              But my hair will be longer, and my wife won't be there, and I will be drinking a Guinness. Ask the bartender for Rich who throws darts and drives the BMW.

                                                      man no love for the northern ATL parks

                                                      I have been loving the mini ramp at TNT in Cumming, but I would be down for the drive to Mcdonough for a Hazzard session. Otherwise there are a couple nice free cement parks around as well, not sure how far out of town you are willing to go.

                                                      Looks like we are getting our skate on this weekend.
                                                      Depending on how hard I hit the drinking I may need a free place to crash as well... lol
