    First e30 - Tallahassee

Hey Guys, I couldn't really find an intro section so I thought I'd just post here for my first real post. I recently purchased an 88 325is for $450 here in Tallahassee, FL locally. It's got the inline six (m20 I believe) and it's a 5-spd. I had to tow her home because it wasn't running. It's been sitting outside for six-ish years most of the time under a tarp but somewhere down the line the tarp got ripped off and she was left to brave mother natures fury. The body is super straight and really clean (well dirty but straight). Unfortunately squirrels moved into the engine bay and brought rocks, leaves, dirt, and almost everything else into the bay. Loads of wires were chewed through and etc etc. I've had her for about a month, put less than $200 into her and I have all interior lights, horn, ac, and ignition but the motors not turning over. I even tried a rolling start (was fun getting her back up hill - not). Fuel pump looks good (this is under the car on the left right behind the door right) but I found some more chewed wires this evening that I'm planning on patching up tomorrow morning. Baby steps. Hope to make the car a daily/weekend warrior once I can get her running. I'm no mechanic but I've been through a couple cars (civic, mustang, nissan) so hopefully some of this knowledge transfers over. haha. I'm currently a student at Florida State University studying mechanical engineering. Pictures:

Thanks for looking everyone. Hoping to make use of the tons of information on here to get her back in the game.

@rares Ya it looks like it. ;D I agree there's a lot of work to be done but thanks for the kind words.

@dinanm3atl Yup, it's an 88. Thanks for the compliment!

Anyone near Tallahassee? Reconnected some wires and continued cleaning the bay. The dashboard lights now come on and everything... It wants to start... I'm not sure why shes not turning over now. hum.
