After 24yrs of ownership, I've done a few timing belt changes. Maybe we can all get together and have a tech-session on Mr. T's car, let us know. I'm just North of Jax in Callahan.

Eddie and Bowtie thank you for your help. As it stands, it looks like i'll have to put off the timing belt for now.

On my way to the mechanic this morning, I put a nice solid hole into my oil pan. I'd rather not go into details, but it looks like this is going to set me back quite a bit while I wait for parts to come in.

I'll be sure to reach out to you both once the time comes though, you're both very generous and I am gracious for that.

Has anyone done a timing belt/waterpump job themselves? I am capable of doing it myself, but guidance and experience as well as a second hand would be great.

i talked to my buddy and he said he is in as long as there is a break between the races. he was wore out after 14 laps.

i am ok with Friday thru Sunday as long as i have enough notice to take Friday off if needed.
