I posted this up on Bimmerforums.com also when they were trying to get a meet off and im postine it here too. Would love to get something off and meet everyone. You dont have to have a BMW just appreciate them lol. So chime in and see if we cant organize something
I think we should try and organize this. See if we cant make it a little simpler and clear cut...Heres how.
Possible locations: (list 2-3)
1.
2.
3.
Choose possible date: (weekends work best and at least two weeks in advance so lets think May time before it gets too hot)
1.
2.
3.
Once i get a few more peoples input and ideas i will create another thread actually dedicated to the meet that includes a poll and such.
I have a few ideas such as a bbq meet where we can all meet up at like a lake or river or something and have a nice grill day and go for a smooth drive afterwards. Everyone can be responsible for bringing something different like chips, soda, burgers, etc. Im new to the area still so im not too sure where we can do this but we should try and get a central location that way we can get the best amount of people out.
So lets see if we cant get something off. Once we have something set in stone i will PM everyone who has posted here and try to get everyone out.Sometimes better...Isnt really better.Comment

I found this thread after one of my friend's posted his dyno sheet here from last weekend.
There's an event that I help put together the first Wednesday of each month in Huntsville at Providence that you guys can meet at:

Its a killer all makes and models meet that has over 100 cars each month, and growing. Everything from Ferraris to Bmw Ms come out. There's food discounts too and plenty of places to eat. I'd love to have you guys come out.Huntsville's Premiere Car and Bike e-magazine: www.huntsvillecarscene.comComment

I don't think so.
This site is usually good about listing what's going on.
But other than that all I see is the Import Showdown on Saturday

Damn, I may have to head out to the track saturday evening. We are hitting up Capital Oyster bar for dinner, that would be the perfect night cap.
Also, if there were enough people interested in doing a meet in the fall, our place on Lake Martin sleeps 20+ comfortably and has plenty of room for more than that for a day thing. Let me know what the interest level might be and I can start working out the details.

If any of you guys are auto-x types there is an Alabama North vs South competition going on next weekend:
June 30th, Saturday, there will be an auto-x in B-ham and on July 1st, Sunday, there will be an event in Huntsville. There will be points totaled from each event to see if the North or South has won the weekend.
More info at these links:
Hope to see some new faces and new E30's out at these events!- Jerry

Id like to be close to some mtn bike trails and live in huntsville but i havnt found any good reviews on safe and quiet apartments in the huntsville area. once i get settled in ill be getting an e30 street/track car to play around with.Comment

There is also a Rallycross this Saturday at Huntsville Speedway. I will be there tearing it up in my E30.
mech3ngn - Madison kind of sucks. Nice place and all, but the roads have never been widened to accommodate the population base. Nightmare commutes due to only one road in and out of Madison. When there is an accident on route 72, the main route, there is no way to get around it. Huntsville has some very nice apartments in the 450 - 650 range.Last edited by Gary Horneck; 06-22-2012, 08:20 AM.sigpic

I think we should set up a meet somewhere good for everyone just to see how many would actually make it for the first time. If there is a decent base, then we can get more serious with the events. Cool locations, put money into them, such and such.I don't even own this car anymore, but I'm too lazy to change the picture.
