C'mon down. It is a great way to spend a day.

    Yes!

Whether youre racing or not, spending money or not. Meet with your local gearheads at the track. Talk cars, bbq. hang out, take pics.. This is how good people with the same interests get together. More people you know, more resources you have, etc.

    My 2 cents..

As a few of you guys know me... I attend meets whenever i can.. I dont even mind driving a distance to participate at one either. But all of us have different lives and different schedules so its hard to get everyone together at the same time(but not impossible.. While i will say John is a great guy and i can personally tell you that he has a million e30 contacts in his phone. Now i can also tell you that having it at the Homestead Speedway would be a really good experience. I know because i raced motorcycles for 3 years and i love that track. There is plenty of space in the infield and not only would people enjoy eachothers cars, but can enjoy the racing as well. Also getting contact #S from people i think is good as well. I dont hink a # is that much of personal information.. Anyways, it would be nice to see a bunch of old schoolies together.. I mean ,if the e90 guys can do it than so can we... However it works out, i will be there. AND THATS MY....!!

LoL...............at least the idea has gotten some feedback. Which was my purpose all along. I actually was trying to cater the meet to the regular E30 owner. If you have a track car, represent it at the E30 meet.

No one has ever denied the fact that track cars have brought attention to the E30 family. How ever as previously stated, the average E30 on a budget. if you view Vedubin's first 2 post on his thread, he states that he was trying to find out if there are any E30 meets. Not Honda meets, not Mini meets, not track meets. E30 meets.

Lmao..............Since you put your meet successes out there. Then put your successes into action. If you check my post, they have always been about input and participation and request input. So heres my challenge. Dont talk about it, be about it. We need a E30 Meet in Miami/South Fla./ Homestead/ Boca/ Broward whatever. We have already spent more time pissing in the wind instead of getting to work.

And just so you know success is relative. All I'm saying is instead of talking, lets commit to making it a contribution. Last time I checked, to sponser a car club meet at PBIR cost cheese. And If Im wrong so what that should not stop the flow. Here's my contribution. I have a free 50 car parking lot. It is available every Sunday, all day. I have the time, and I dont mind contributing funds. Anybody else.

right you are, the name doesn't matter.. As along as we get everyone's attention.. The Miami Thread has been doing it for years, look at the post count & views..no other area is even half as close ..and as it has been pointed out, u don't have to be geographically located in Miami Dade county to be a regular.

Yes.. obviously.. would it have made sense for me to address this issue in the Miami thread?

It never has been and will probably never be about my car. I'm just pointing out that perhaps the main reason why i'll hardly be present for street/parking lot meet, is because my car is not a DD.

lol.. yes, you did say "All E30 owners are wrenchers." (post#63) .. well, you say Tomato, I say Tomahto... wrencher/gas brain/DIY'er/gearhead/carguy.. show me the difference. We are all gas brains in here. You wouldn't own an E30 if you just liked to bedazzle you gearshift knob. These cars are old, smelly, cramped, fickle & w/no f*ckin cup holders. Cars this old are not for the faint of heart and the folks that are on here are very much committed and in it for the long run, otherwise they would be in the Toyota Camry forums looking for glue. Its simple. You attend a car meet or on an internet car forum because you want to learn more about, hang with folks, or display your pride & joy? Then you my friend, are a gas brain.
BTW, all the non budgeted BMW drivers are in those E46 forums.

Thank you.. so that you know..there is no fee to spectate at most track days or AutoX. These events are usually spaced out with enough time for participants to recoup. so they out quite fine for "car club/internet board meet"..

...I'll let you in on a little secret. I've probably organized more successful local & cross state car meets than you have even attended. i know what i'm suggesting makes sense..and believe me, I feel your pain.. hang in there..

    Recap? sure let's!

    1. No need for 2 threads. the Miami Thread is not Broken. lets not try to fix it.
    2. I'm sure we all appreciate what you trying to do. Hang in there & it will come together.
    3. yes. we are all gas brains. don't try to fight it.
    4. All Hail Vedubin.
    5. Calm down a bit and stop slamming doors. We are all laid back in here and have just enough time to work on our cars. Something has to be sacrificed to attend a meet. Build a good one and we will come.
    6. Stop spending you own money on meets. Donate it to me if you like parting with it

    hope this helps....
