I have been trying to convince TurboJake to come down to Tampa/Orlando on his roadtrip and I was thinking we could plan a welcoming party picnic dealio for him! I can try to find out when he'll be in the general vicinity of this corner of the country to get a better grasp on when it'd be.

If anyone has couches to offer so he can stay for a bit longer and take a few days in Florida, lemme know! ...or just post here.

Once we know exactly when he will be here we can organize. If he doesn't show, we would still have a meet!

You guys should really join the R3V Facebook group and keep track of things there, the forum is just too slow for something quick coming up it seems... I didn't see these last few posts until today.

it used to be big, honestly. I went to meets once or twice a week a few years back, but now it's spread apart. there's the stanceworks or v2 lab thing this weekend in downtown but I'd never go to that. (I went last year but only to pickup a sport valence and then split)

Hey guys, I just moved to Orlando and will be down for a meet as well. Its very odd that theres nothing going on, I thought car scene will be big in orlando but guess not. I'll keep an eye on here if theres a plan for a meet in the near future.

I have just about the same schedule every week so any weekend is fine with me. I can bring some food and (legal) beverages!

All we need is a poll for a weekend, then commit to it, people who can't come cant come. Brace yourselves though, it's wedding season.

This is in part why we don't do well at meets. It goes round and round on a forum until it fades away. A meet is unusally hard to get started in Florida because everybody talks it but few commit to it. And when one is put together you can expect, at least 50% no shows.

I have put some together that have been fun. It takes takes time and leg work.

Bottom line guys, if you want to do a meet, do it. DECIDE on a date, put gas in your car and drive it.
