Sorry to hear this Halston. I keep mine in a fenced yard and so far no one has ever disappeared on us. Would ruin my existence if they did.

I know how I am with my animals. It breaks my heart to see them get old and then have to do something with them.

    Hope she shows up soon.

New rod bearing installed in my S50 and its feeling good but poor Barry's 3.1l stroker is experiencing typical last minute Brodeo prep issues. His engine fires right up and sounded great for the first 15-20 mins until it developed a rod / crank knock. Metal bits in the oil and whatnot.. trying to get a new (proper) bearing set to rebuild the bottom end and drop it back in again within the next 2 days.

Did you have oil pressure? Sounds kind of like what happened to Alex.

Oil pressure was good but the rods caps were mismatched on all of the rods, just so happened that the mismatched cap on #2 overtorqued the rod bearing surface so when the engine got up to operating temp it expanded and slowly chewed itself up.

Scrambling to find a new set of rod bearings by tomorrow.

Apparently everyone was fine save for a broken arm.

                              not completely

The tow truck company used DIRT to "clean" up the fork oil on the road from the Bike. Another faster local came by a bit after and destroyed his bike and himself..(actually he is at UT in ICU for awhile. It took over an hour for this guy to be lifted out....very scary I spent most of last week/weekend up there.)As I left yesterday the police/ambulance was on the way up again.....remember the only trophy anyone gets is to get home in one peice! Foothills and Dragon are Lit up with color right now lots o slow pokes around that next bend. CU ALL soon!
