Spring 2013 Brodeo Planning Thread

Anthony and I were talking about this during not breakfast Sunday morning at the Back Porch, so just throwing it out there...

What about going back to Look Rock/The Dragon this Spring, then do the Fall Brodeo at/around Petit LeMans? He also said there is a good kart track not far from there. From the description he gave it sounds like Andretti but less expensive and outdoors with elevation changes.

Steve and I talked about this last Wed. and the idea we had was to keep moving the Spring rally around but keep the Fall Rally at Look Rock. Also since Halston (and some of his ATL crew) has to work the Petite we usually avoid scheduling a date on that weekend. Steve Reed was going to scout us out a new site for the Spring rally in the coming months.

Actually about 2yrs ago we set permenant dates to always be the weekend after Memorial Day and the last weekend in Oct. since those weekends have the least amount of conflict with scheduling for all those that attend. We used to bounce it around but trying to poll everyone for a perfect date always backfired (check the old threads) and resulted in lower turnout. So far the pre-determined dates have worked out much better because there is no question when the next Brodeo will be.

Anyone itching for a small group drive is welcome to help scout campsites and roads this winter.
