You've spec'd out at least a $10K car with all the items on your list. If you're really lucky you might be able to find one for $4-5k that ticks most of the boxes on your "must" list.

Not trying to flame, though I think you may need to re-evaluate your expectations of what $2-3k will buy in today's market.

Taking the 24v swap off the list was certainly the right call. You might be able to that on the über cheap for $2500-3000, and that's assuming you already have a running and driving car to put it in.

Yeah I kinda just got my hopes up way too high, on an m50 swapped e30 very similar to this one. Guy was ready to sell, so I started accumulating cash, and the other day he said he's probably gonna change his mind about selling it. Made me really sad I got very excited for it because it was a hella good deal :-(

friend of mine once told me not to ever have high expectations for anything, so when they fall through, you're not bummed, and when they exceed them, you're more happy than you woulda been. Bitterly true :/

I could sell you a euro setup early one with an S50/M3tranny in it for $6800, it would blow your budget but if you were looking to upgrade anyway its kind of moot. Its not white and its got no AC (the interior parts are there but I never put the compressor or the condenser in after the swap). No white, its delphin.

I actually need to drive or sell the thing, Its been in a garage, under a cover and on a battery tender far too long. It was a hobby/fun car but then I bought a motorcycle.
