        June 2, 2014
        Dear prospective sponsor,
Thank you for taking time to consider sponsoring our event, The First Annual Lords of the (Nurburg)ring, a car show benefitting The BMW CCA Foundation and Tire Rack’s Street Survival teen car control program. The show promises to be a great series of events showcasing some of South Florida’s premiere German makes, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche. Expectations are to have over 150 cars entered in the concours judging, and thousands of the public to view the cars and participate in the events.
The event is being co-sponsored and hosted by the American German Club of the Palm Beaches at their grounds in Western Lantana. The American German Club of the Palm Beaches is widely known for their annual Oktoberfest celebration which brings in over 35,000 guests each year to celebrate German food, beer, and music. As a host location, this organization brings vast experience in organizing, promoting and running successful events. We are extremely excited to be partnering with this club as a perfect location for the event.
The proceeds of the event will be benefitting the BMW CCA Foundation and Tire Rack’s Street Survival, both of which are the national causes the BMW CCA supports. I have included a synopsis of both organizations for your review. After reviewing, I am sure you will see the good work both do, and agree to assist in our efforts in this endeavor.
Should you join our efforts in this project, you will benefit from exposure to the luxury, sport automobile enthusiasts in South Florida who generally have the disposable income and desire to invest in their automobiles as a passion. You will have the opportunity to display your business at the show and bring your company to these owners directly. With the show open to the general public you also can direct market all of the visitors going through the gates, many of these will be car enthusiasts as well. A comprehensive radio, print, social media, and sponsor-network advertising campaign will also identify your organization as a sponsor. We feel this market-targeted event participation could be the best advertising dollars you will spend for your organization this year. Please see suggested sponsorship form (enclosed) for details.
Again, thank you for taking time from your very busy schedule to consider our event. I look forward to answering any additional questions or meeting personally with your organization at your convenience. As this event is coming up fast and our advertising blitz is scheduled to begin mid to end of June, I would appreciate timely consideration and reply. I may be reached at (561) 248-9168, or email at michael.willette@comcast.net.

        Regards,

In March, 2002, the BMW Car Club of America, an organization of over 79,000 members, formed the non-profit, tax-exempt charitable BMW CCA Foundation, Inc., to provide benefits to the motoring public community and owners of BMW automobiles. Its charter under Section 501(c)(3) enables the Foundation to establish programs to benefit the public in general, and BMW owners specifically. The vision of the Foundation is to be a significant repository of BMW information and to foster educational programs for the automotive community.
To that end, the Foundation established three programs to help accomplish its mission: The Preservation and Restoration Program (PRP), The Library, Archives and Museum Program (LAM), and The Driver Safety School Program (DSS), Tire Rack Street Survival.

Formed in April 2002 by the BMW Car Club of America Foundation, the Tire Rack Street Survival safe teen driving program was launched. With the help of several corporate sponsors (BMW of North America, The Tire Rack, and Liberty Mutual Insurance), Tire Rack Street Survival was initiated. Tire Rack Street Survival is built upon the premise that ‘safe driving is learned by doing.’ From the outset, Street Survival has always been hands-on and designed to go beyond the typical high school driver’s education program. The program teaches students to avoid accidents by thinking and looking ahead. Tire Rack Street Survival is unique in that it offers students instruction in their own cars so that they learn the limitations of the car they drive daily.
The Tire Rack Street Survival School is a safe teen program designed to go beyond today’s required driver’s education and give teens across the U.S. the driving tools and hands-on experience to become safer, smarter drivers. Trained and qualified in-car driving instructors as well as classroom experience for each student.
Last year, over 5,000 teenagers died in motor vehicle crashes, the leading killer of American youths aged 16 to 19, accounting for more than 40 percent of fatalities in that age bracket. To reduce this number, Tire Rack Street Survival has developed a non-profit, national driver education program aimed at teaching teens the skills they need to stay alive behind the wheel.
The year 2003 was the pilot year for Tire Rack Street Survival and several successful schools were held around the country. In 2004, more than a dozen schools providing instruction for several hundred students were held. During 2008, 70 schools were held, training even more teenagers to become safe, responsible drivers. During 2013, 101 schools were held – our goal for 2014 is over 110 schools, from New Hampshire to California and Florida to Minnesota.
