    Fall 2015 Brodeo Dates Discussion

Just want to finalize this with everyone.

We have the opportunity to go back to the same private group campsite at Smoky Mtn. Meadows again but this time they have offered to let us book the first weekend after they are closed to the public. Nov. 5th-8th to be exact.

Cost will be the same as this year's Spring event and those who would like to rent a cabin or private site can do so for an extra fee (to be decided).

The only other real option is to go back to Rattler Ford Group Campsite since it is wide open to be reserved but we also do not know if the host will be present and/or if they will be friendly to the group. Rattler Ford could also be more expensive since we would need to reserve the other sites to ensure no other groups would show up to be "disturbed" by our group after 10pm. Last, Rattler Ford is also only available the very last weekend in Oct.

Terry was awesome at Smoky Mountain Meadows, and having that huge site all to ourselves would be cool. It's a little closer to civilization, which has both pluses and minuses. Firewood was minutes, not hours, away.

Rattler Ford eliminates the commute time from SMM to the Dragon and the Skyway, which consequently reduces the potential for unwanted interaction with North Carolina State Troopers and/or Graham and Swain County Sheriff's Deputies.

What's the approximate difference in cost?

I wouldn't want Butters to miss the opportunity to talk dirty to Terry.

Either was fine for me. We did have wood delivered at Rattler Ford which was nice but to have it delivered to your campfire? No brainer. It was really nice to have all that space too. If we can expect that same I vote for SMM.

That way, if you do criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
