I hear ya.... How hard is the valve adjustment? I got a new valve cover and the parts I got from you come in today. That would be something Id like to do while there.... Any tricks to doing it???

Put the car in reverse. And rock it. It will move your engine and let you get to your valves to adjust. feeler guage and small hex key and your set.

or you can make a littke jumper in the SI plug for remote start.

Or get a 22mm socket on the crank pulley and spin it with a ratchet from under the car? ;)

There's not a lot of tricks to it. All you need is a 10mm, a feeler gauge with a .010" (if you're doing with the motor cold, which I suggest doing so), and something to spin the eccentric. I use a 4mm allen key on the eccentric, which seems to work out pretty nice and without slop.

You'll find yourself with two hands trying to hold a feeler gauge in place, hold the eccentric in place with the allen key, and tighten the 10mm nut all at the same time :p

nope the caps look like crap and with the wheel studs, I feel makes the wheels look better. I do wish I could find a small cap to cover the center. Who knows......

Well guys the decision has come for I have gotten my asking price on my car. Now its just trying to pry it away and find something better or move up. This is hard for I have been looking for an E30 M3 and the ones that I find are out of my ball park. But did locate this locally. Anyone know this guy and or the car? Very tempting but I just know parts are going to kill me if something happens!

no its not sold and Im having some pain thinking about selling it. I got my offer pretty quick and know its worth more. The only problem is finding something else in a timely manner. I have been looking for an M3 but prices today have hit the roof. People asking 15 to 20k for a car with 200k miles on her. S14 200k = no way! So if a deal comes by and its in perfect timing then yeah the car would go. But its going to be hard for that to happen. I have 3 weeks to look before the buyer will have the total funds and can pick up the car.

The M5 is an amazing car but parts are something else!

Oh ok. Yeah the M3's are going pretty high. I would not have any problem rocking the M5 instead. So I guess you don't want the spare valve cover that I have outside.
3wks is not alot of time to find a nice clean car. They are out there, just not always when you need them to be. What motor comes in the M5? Victor and I have seen some insane e28's as well that would be an equally since I would modify it anyway. It could have the M5 looks without the big $.
