For everyone coming I ask that you read this http://www.tailofthedragon.com/dragon_howtodrive.html
We want every one to have a safe and fun weekend, so please drive at your own pace, there are plenty of stopping points for you to catch back up to the group if you need to travel at a slower pace. If somebody behind you is going faster, just pull over and let them go by, don't try to push the limits to keep ahead of them. There is a good bit of law enforcement presence at the dragon so keep an eye on your speed, they are more concerned about cracking down on lane crossing and unsafe acts versus speeders so keep that in mind.

    Camping Info
Will be put up later in post, but probobly as intendid for the november run, I will try to make arangements for lock rock campground, and will put up the info as soon as I talk to someone up there about it.

    Food Info:
This is going to be slightly different this time. You need to bring what you want to eat for Saturday breakfast and dinner. Saturday lunch will probably be at wendy's in Robbinsville. Sunday Breakfast you can either cook or drive down the dragon to the eatery. This is going to work out better because Robert bought A LOT of food and we barely ate 50% of it. It just doesn't work that well. I am sure some people will have extra but bring what you want to eat.

    Contact Info:
PM Me for Cell Number and email.

    Caravan for Atlanta Folks
If you are leaving from Atlanta PM me. The meating place will be the same as the november place, the Q.T. at crabapple and crossvill around 4 p.m. If planing on going and not from Atlanta, we will be stoping for dinner, and can meat more people at that time. more info later in thread.

I went to the nps.gov site and Look Rock does not open until 5/9/08. Abrams Creek Campground (close by)opens 3/7/08, but has only 16 campsites. Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Let's get our chit together so we can have a fun weekend!!!! How about it Atomic, Can we all stay with you???

Well if I am here in Townsend we might be able to do something. The campground is closed at this moment but if it was to reopen then it wouldn't be a problem. Word is that they are going to reopen it. But I am just unsure of that at this time. And also we are trying to buy a home in Gatlinburg and if that works out I would hopefully be in it by then and if so then we can have a huge gathering there. But really at this point there are far to many uncertainties that I can not read in the crystal ball at this time.

I would take on setting up this next rally but with all of this going on right now for me and the fact that I am fixing to put the car back into surgery for 5 lug swap and paint and body that I am not even sure if the car will be ready by then as well.... damn I need a drink .... LOL

Well then we better wait or go for Abrams creek. I mean hell Robert gets there pretty early. We can all paypal him for the sites and he can pay for them at Abrams?

i dont know wht that road is like, but if i dont drop it into 1st gear for a speed bump, i bottom out and scrape the bottom... so if it is rough, i probobly won't like that.

I personally have not been on it either but I think Steve said last year he started down it and turned around because it was really rough. I think he said it was a washed out gravel road back into Abrams creek

yeah, my seats wont take a six or five, and i dont really have the $ right now to get new seats, so the way i see it, 4 are better then 3
