Spring 2008 - Smoky Mountain BMW Rally - May 15th-18th

I picked up a 91 318i for $300 a friend might borrow for the trip.

BTW... the way it's looking... ole' smokey will be making this run. Considering all the school work I've been doing I've not been able to build my 2.8l stroker as fast as I thought I would.

Thats true, I did have that valve cover leak didnt i....... Oops... Well the beater i just picked up smokes a bit too. So robert will be in like company.

Sweet!!! I'm thinking more and more about driving the e28 instead of the e30, it can hual more, gets better fuel economy, not as easy to go fast in, yet still handles good. Either way I'm still coming just can't decide on which vehicular to drive

classes are done (exams included) on the 6th so now its all on when i have to start work, which is anyones guess at this point, but i will do my best to be there

Maybe at the end of summer. I'm currently trying to restore it best I can on a budget. Gotta replace the 5spd tranny, clutch, CSB and radiator first. I might be tempted to put a decent suspension on it.

I can't say for sure if I can make it, but more than likely I'll be up for at least one or two days. I'll know for sure as it gets closer (jobs and the such).
And I'll be taking it semi easy as I'll probably have the car sick prone gf with me and those cops will be all over the place. :)

So my girlfriend and I went through the tail last weekend! It was amazing! I didn't have my e30 I had to gti but I was amazed at how well it went through. Had a lot of fun with two bikes which we chased eachother a few runs. I wish I could go with everyone next month but ill be starting my new job at the beginning of may down in Florida. But good news when I head to Florida ill make another stop at the tail.
