From Asheville, NC go north on Blue Ridge Parkway to Milepost 297 (85 miles). From HWY 321 near Boone, NC enter Blue Ridge Parkway and travel south 5 miles.

* 12PM-6PM - Early Bird Meet & Greet / Setup Camp / Check-In / Explore
* 6PM-10PM - Dinner / Campfire Super Funtime
* 10PM-8AM - Campground Quiet Time (Campground Rules)

Fri. October 17th
* 9AM-10AM - Scenic Drive to Boone, NC down Hwy 194/321
* 10AM-11AM - Brunch in Boone, NC (Group Choice)
* 10AM-11AM - Scenic Drive to Julian Price National Park, NC (Photo Ops)
* 11AM-12PM - Scenic Drive down Blue Ridge Parkway
* 12PM-1PM - Scenic Drive back to Roan Mnt. State Park (Campgrounds)
* 1PM-6PM - Arrive back at the Campground / Make Extra Back Road Runs / Relax
* 6PM-10PM - Dinner & Campfire Hangout Time


Sat. October 18th
* 8AM-9AM - Leave Toward to Elizabethton, TN
* 9AM-10AM - Breakfast at Elizabethton, TN
* 10AM-11PM - Scenic Drive from Elizabethton, TN to Shady Valley, TN
* 11PM-1PM - Scenic Drive from Shady Vally, TN to Boone, NC (Stop for Lunch)
* 2PM-4PM - Scenic Drive from Boone, NC back to Roan Mnt. State Park, TN
* 6PM-8PM - Group Cookout Dinner
* 8PM-10PM - More Campfire BS / Funtime


Sun. October 19th
* 9AM-10AM - Morning Run Before Breakfast (Group Descision)
* 10AM-11AM - Breakfast (Group Choice)
* 11AM-12PM - Return to Campground
* 12PM-2PM - Clean Up / Pack Up / Kiss and Say Goodbye





Important Information!

How to Register
This time around I am asking people who plan on attending to contact me to be added to the registration list at the bottom of this post. You can contact me via PM or email. Please submit your name, ride info, arrival date & time, and number of people attending. Once I receive your info I will add it to the registration list ASAP.

Please only contact me once you know for sure that you will be attending.

I am also asking that all people who are interested in joining the group cookout on Saturday to BYOM (bring your own meat). I will provide the small stuff. (chips, cookies, condaments, etc.)





What to Bring

- Tent (each campsite is required to pitch 1 tent - Per Park Rules)
- Firewood (you cannot chop down any trees in the park)
- 2 Way Radio
- Food & Drink
- $19 per campsite per night
- Plenty of Gas Money
- Bug Repellent (Off!)
- Flashlight
- Plastic Tarp (because you never know.)
- Winter Sleeping Bag and Plenty of Clothing (Depending on the weather it may get very cold at night!)
