Just to throw my hat into the ring; I've just bought a 91 318is and drove it home from Dallas, TX. Some of you may know this car, it was a project car on Mwerks.com.

    Here's the build thread; http://mwerks.com/artman2/publish/project_318is/

I've got a few projects to do, first of all is fixing a valve tick and stopping the oil leaks on the front cam cover. I'll see you all around.

    NC checking in (new member)

Just saw the posting about the Kernersville meeting last week and was sorry I missed it... damn.

I have a 1993 325ic (yep, one of the last few built in 1993). Have owned her since 2004 and spent lots of time and $$$ bringing her back into mostly stock shape:

    new vert top
new Ronal LS wheels 15x7 w/ Kumho 205/55/15
    Bilstein shocks (4 years ago)
Bav Auto chip (but pining for a Mark D chip)
    new cat and Eiberspacher muffler
new TB, water pump, camshaft seal, etc, etc.
    new plug wires, cap, rotor
Volvo front lip (can't help but laugh whenever I say this)
    rebuilt steering rack

The car has 146k miles on it, and the clutch has never been replaced, but its time for a new one. Still want to install the H&R cabrio spring set, new Bilstein Sport shocks and a front stress bar. Here are a few pics:

i think some people are weary of driving their e30 long distance. Personally, I've put on over 10k miles this summer, I'm no longer afraid.

Seriously, though, I recommend everyone, who can to drive out. It's absolutely beautiful, and company is great.
