    Things to do in Dallas

I'm stuck near Dallas for training for the next 3 weeks but get a little bit of time off on the weekends. I was thinking of staying near downtown and checking out some concerts, coffee shops of brewpubs in addition to the grassy knoll of course. Any recommendations?

Dallas really isn't much of a tourist city, mainly just work & business. Definitely check out the JFK memorial there. Otherwise, stay someplace north of downtown Dallas and you'll be fine.

There are lots of bars in the "uptown" area (McKinney Ave) between downtown Dallas & SMU. Otherwise, Dallas doesn't have much to offer other than drinking & clubbing.

Where will you be doing your training?
