    New from the Houston area!

    What's up guys!?
    New to the BMW family.
I picked this awful mess up last week.
It's a 89 IS, its quite rough around the edges but I look forward to restoring and adding a few tasteful mods as well.

Pictures aren't the best, but I will get better ones tomorrow.

Yes I know those wheels are hideous. Guy i purchased from, liked them. Looking for stockers but i haven't been able to come across any locally.

    Pros : Mechanically works great!
Cons : Needs rust work, interior needs attention, ect.

    Any one else in Houston?

Nice platform! and the wheels aren't so bad until you roll out with them...good luck on getting BBS RS or anything similar, well I take it back, in Houston, your chances are better than mines.

Houston is lame for e30s. What side of town are you on?

I have a set of stock 14" weaves, in near perfect condition with four 95% new tires and new BMW centercaps in Kingwood. I also have a 91 parts car (4 door) I can let any local folks poke around if they desire. I am keeping most bits (M42/G240) for my 318iS project but I have most other pieces available. Let me know on PM any interest (from anyone local, really) and I can get pictures/price. Turf is right, I find other than a few resources, Houston is pretty sparce for parts.

I'll probably see you around. I'm right at memorial and shepherd. If you see an orange 2002 or an alpine convertible that's me....

              Welcome.

I'm from Houston also, but reside in Spring. There are definitely some e30s that come out. Check out some that were at my site's meet this past Friday...

Not an e30, but definitely a nice ride to talk about...

***Edit*** 'bmedw' and my friend Adriano.

The meets are mostly VW/Audi, but the BMWs are definitely starting to come out. Hopefully mine is up and running by the next one and hopefully I can see some more of the R3V community that live around Houston there.

We meet every first Friday of the Month @...

              Southwell's Hamburger Grille
              1909 Taylor Street
              Get Directions

Here are more pics from this past Friday...

Again, welcome and congrats on the new ride.

              -Mike

Thanks man, well my plans are to keep the M42 in the e30 and daily drive it just for fuel consumption reasons. Thinking about doing nothing but cosmetic upgrades on it with a drop, I have the M3 for power so this could be my cruiser and daily commuter. Maybe later when I finish school and have some more "security" I'll do a swap on the E30 and make it a track car if not just pass it on in the family. :D
