    Texas Emissions test?

So I'm looking at buying an e30. It seems to run nicely. The guy selling it lives in a safety only county. He said that he doesn't want to get it inspected due to having to put it on insurance and then getting it tested. He's come down a lot because he wants me to just pick it up and I deal with inspection.

My fear is what if it doesn't pass. It hasn't been inspected in 2 years. I don't want to get the car and then figure out if have to put a ton of money in the thing because it doesn't pass. Any thoughts?
