Weld shop recommendations? Broken trans mount tab

I'm replacing my CSB along with the guibo on the driveshaft and noticed that the PO conveniently forgot to mention that one of the ears on the driver side transmission mount tabs is broken off.

So I did some researching and found that I'm certainly not the first and that a competent aluminum welder should be able to fit me up with a fix. Does anyone have any experience with this, suggestions or recommendations to a welder/shop in the DFW area? I'm in Mckinney but don't mind traveling around the metro to get it done right.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

damage doesn't look too bad... why don't you run a space between the damaged ear and the nut. thats what I did with mine. the driver side ear of the transmission is prone to breaking especially when it's shipped.

Thats not a bad idea. There was a washer on there which is how I know this happened before I owned it but it didn't look like it was doing much good. In fact it, it was loose along with the nut.

Did you run a spacer and then a washer on top of that? I'd like to eventually get it fixed permanently but really don't want to drop the transmission right now as the clutch still feels good.

just get a correctly size washer. bring a transmission mount to home depot and start test fitting the largest diameter washer with the smallest center-tight enough so when you insert it over the thread of the mount, there's little movement.

for added security. get spacers to offload the stress on the remaining dog ear piece.
