The North Texas Crew E30 Registry

I was looking at the "The Pacific NorthWest Crew E30 Registry," started by the site owner Mr. Anderson aka Josh Anderson and I thought it would be a good idea to do the the same thing for the DFW/north Texas area. I did a search and came up empty in my attempt to find if anything like this had already. If we had a registry it would be easier to keep track of everyone and let everyone know when something is going on here locally. I would like to set up a meeting up he in the next month or two after Christmas. Those of you who are interested in coming can email or pm me you contact info and I will try to keep you in the loop. Thanks and here is my info.

    Braxton M. Boggs II
    Fort Worth, Tx
1990 325iS that guess is Schwarz or Diamond Scwarz I don't know.
1991 325i zinnoberrot or red or whatever.

I have admired e30s from a far for many years but I finally took the plunge and bought one (1990 325iS) a few days before I joined R3V in August. I only paid $600 for it and the only thing that prevented me from driving it home was a small water leak. I am the third owner of this car and from what the previous owner told my it was bought new by a docter who kept it for eight years before trading it in. The lady who I bought it from owned it from 1998 to August of 2008. The good part is she kept it up mechanically and the bad part is she kept nothing else up on it. I am replacing the dash right now because the car had set out in the Texas sun for eighteen years and had more cracks than I could count. The drivers seat was broke and both front seats had heavy cracks in them. The body had a dent on the passenger rear quarter and the front fender on the same side has been pushed in at the very front. Both of the bumpers need either the entire assembly or a number of the bits and pieces replaced. The paint is not in good shape but at least it is keeping the car from rusting.

My other car is a 1991 325i, which I originally bought about a month ago to serve as a parts car to fix my iS but after I got it home and started looking at it and thinking about it I changed my mind. I think I am going to find an engine of some sort for it but I have not made up my mind which one yet. I have considered putting the engine out of my iS in it and swaping in a m30 or a s50/2 but I want to get my iS running, tagged, and inspected first.

I look forward to hearing from all of you bimmerheads in the DFW/north Texas area.

    Braxton

Generally meet threads set up by non-noobs and non douchebaggs get a better response .

Why because he is a noob or a douchebag?

My vote is for the douchebag seeing as how he has a picture of someone with their dick hagging out on his profile and another guy fucking a stuffed sheep as if it were funny.

That and he being a member since 2004 kinda disqualifies him at being a noob

Truth is...most of the DFW e30 owners already know each other fairly well since its a small community. Meeting up is simply a phone call away.

We only meet up out of necessity though- like if we need parts... We need a get together just for BBQ or something. I never made it to one of those.

I never went to one because I was always working on the e30. Weekends the only time to do it. Ive been to a couple RX-7 meets and no one there even brings an RX-7 because they dont run or are being worked on. Id be afraid that the e30 meets would be the same way

reason why texas meets never work, is because sometime throughout the meet, someone will spill information on some crapped out e30 at some junk yard. next day, its like a meet all over again....at a junk yard, and everyone is getting pissed of at each other because everyone wants exact same part.

and speaking of crapped out e30s, i know where there is a few late model e30s in dallas. Owner says they're free to take if anyone wants them.
