    Fall drive feeler

Anyone having a drive soon in the Tri state area? If not anyone have suggestions for a time/place?

I'm always down for a drive...planning on doing one later in the month for fall foliage by myself.

Whereabouts would you guys want to go/how far away from the city? My recommendation would be up to start in NW Connecticut (bottom of the berkshires) and then head East threw CT towards Hartford, then up Central MA and along the Quabbin Reservoir towards NH. Then just back down I-91 to get back.

        Does that sound too long?

That's way too long IMNSHO. Best to keep it down to an afternoon. Example: meet somewhere around Ft. Lee, take 9W up to Nyack or someplace, grab a beer and burger. Something like that would make more sense.

True, true, would be an all day affair. What about someplace like Bear Mountain?

The Bear Mountain area sounds good....I was thinking maybe late September or sometime in October. Anyone know of a good burger/beer place there?

Late September or mid October sounds good, preferably on a Sunday. What do you guys say?
