    Taconic State Parkway

...is an excellent road. Discovered it this week. Had a gig in Albany, and didn't feel like taking 87 all the way up again.

Took the Saw Mill into the Taconic State Parkway until 84. Wow, what a nice road. Very little traffic, nice speed, curvy and twisty, lots of downhills, and beautiful tree covered scenery.

    Really enjoyed driving this week/

Word. My old stomping grounds... You could have taken it past I-84 to Rt 82 north, to Rt 23 west, cross the Rip Van Winkle bridge and pick up the thruway up there.

Nice ride all the way up, just gotta watch out for staties hiding in the grass sometimes...

Great road but as mentioned keep the speeds down or the ticket will put a serious pinch on your wallet.

              Chronic on Taconic

Taking my 2002 up Taconic to Lime Rock track for Sundays 02 East fest. The roads from Taconic to Lime Rock are made for high revs. Can't wait to wake up-have a double espresso and rev up the 02....

I remember going to Lime Rock as a kid. That's a mighty good looking 2002 you got there.

Hmm, well there is some BMW CCA meet on 9/26, but it's out in Riverhead at the Martha Clara Vinyard. I'm not a member, but I thought it might be fun to go out with the lady. She can drink wine while I look at cars.

Otherwise, I'm down for Early Oct. ANYONE ELSE?

That's a great article man. My girl and I are already planning a road trip up the Taconic this fall... . . .and will hit as many diners as gastronomaly possible.

Anybody care to join us? Caravan?

Love the Taconic and the Saw Mill. But I've never understood why they're so saturated with cops. It's not like you can speed anyway, since the passing lane is always full of Chevy Suburbans trundling along at 45 mph right next to Honda Odysseys doing 45.1 mph
