Unfortunately, due to the way the car is driving now, I would like to find someone local to the NYC area while from what I see you would be an hour and a half from me.

Also as much as I would like to take it to a real shop, the budget is not there for something like that. I am looking more for a backyard mechanic/ e30 guru.
