good place for a good 1500.00 paint job?

hey all.
i got a friend whos short on funds but needs his car painted.
the body is in good shape with no rust but does have its fair share of dents and dings but again nothing crazzy.
he can spend 1500-1800.00, is this even doable?
if you know of a good place please let me know.

1500 would get him a good quality paint job.

maaco quote for e30 coupe 400(just paint)
local shop that had some imports in there getting wet sanded 900 and they said they were running a speciall...sure.
reputable place i got of yellowpage 1700.(full prep included)

hummm dont know if i would ever trust maaco but the others sound promising.
hes looking for someone in LI or queens if possible :|

Don't let Macco touch your car. Search Suspences' car before he painted all the trim back to black. Occasionally they do a good job, but very rarely.
