Must be a 5spd. Black or White coupe would be perfect.

Well.. I'm not one of them. I just go to college and $3k is the budget for now.
I had a very clean 91 318i and 91 318is for under $3k before. So it's not impossible but it's definitely getting harder to find them..

there's a CLEAN 89/90 red w/ tan 318is around me up here in CT...guy wants $1000, it hasn't been drivin in about a year though..he also lost the title but, it was last registered in NJ so i don't think you should have a problem getting a duplicate title from NJ DMV.

i want it but it would be too much work for me to get the title here in CT

Sounds interesting. If he's the last registered owner he can request a duplicate of title. The fee is about $60.
