New e30 owner in nj almost ready

Hey guys just picked up a mint 89 325i auto with the cleanest interior I have ever seen on a e30 so I figured I'd keep her and tear it down and really do it up here's what I'm doing to it and hopefully done with it soon this is first day when I picked it up and here's some interior shots

And now it's fully taken apart ripped the motor out did a full refresh everything new from gaskets to belt and a new 5 Spd trans :) now motors back in and off to the paint shop to get some surface rust spots taken care of and a full respray I will make another detailed thread with every picture just wanted to share this with the community for now I am in the market for wheels I don't know much about offsets or anything like that but I do have lowering springs and just looking for some nice rs reps for a good price so show me what you got that I can buy or any wheel that looks good thanks

Nice pick up! What color is that Zinnot? A nice nogaro colored set or euro weaves would look nice on her. Where in nj?

haha awesome. I own a condo in crosspointe (tices ln). Lived there for 6yrs, then moved back to SI last yr.

my buddy just took over the old "Turbotrix" shop...so i'm in that area often..look forward to seeing the progress!

Doing shaved emblems front and rear going to look sweet should be in primer by the end of today hoping if all goes smooth

Also bought new black grills and kidney grill Abraham's Motorsport euro plate filler and just ordered some lowering springs

nice! last summer my E30 was in the same boat. Felt like it was at the bodyshop forever. Looks like you're doing it the proper way.

Yeah was trying to get in done in time for euro fest but that's not going to happen but will be at bimmerfest east

couple things I recommend (that my bodyshop overlooked)....when reassembling

be sure to replace the plastic grommets on the C-pillar (3 on each side). I had serious water leaks in my trunk from them removing the C-pillars and not putting in new grommets & gaskets here. I almost had to hammer these things in to make sure it didn't take in water here. Another thing, if they remove your windshield to paint.....remind them that our windshields aren't glued on....just slips in w/ the rubber gasket & locking strip.

Well primer isn't going to be done today but a lot more body work got done and more fixing to the front valance

Now time to start piecing her back together brand new rotors front and back and pads, and will be rebuilding the calipers as well

Did some lowering springs today all new silicon coolant hoses painted shadow line trim re did the calipers front and rear and replaced the heater resistor more to come here are some recent pics of work done today
