I checked out the Cars & Coffee in Yorktown on Sunday am and it was a pretty good morning cruise-in, of course one of the guys I was talking to said there were a row of BMW's and another of MB's in attendance the previous week.. We were on our morning ride anyway.... Was only about a 45 min ride down for me.... I would recommend it...

Right now, I'm good with 9/15 or 9/22 Sunday. Also, I'm not sure Bradley posts on r3v, he's more of an italian car guy from how I know him but leegf (Drew) is in contact with him.

Ok cool. I'm thinking in about a month's time just to give us, and whoever else is interested, some time to plan it.

Sure, lets get some dates together or just pick a date and I'll see if I can swing it. Wife wanted to come but she was on-call this past weekend.

Yea had to have been fallen rock. I saw it in time to avoid it.

Is anyone interested in doing this again in september? My wife is due in october so it will be nearly impossible to get away then. If Frank and Bradley (is he on the forum?) can make it to lead the routes again that'd be great. Let me know.

toward the top of the hill? might have been fallen rock. thankfully, i was able to swerve and avoid it, unlike the very first time i took my old e30 there. the car survived, but the oil pan did not

i believe that is why they close that road down after it rains...

That's a nice view! Very similar views if we stopped at the cliff at Storm King Rd!! Lots of panoramic opportunities.

don't remember who i was explaining this to - it might have been frank - but the alfa romeo GTV6 matches up very well with the e30 m20b25 in terms of power and power-to-weight ratio. it's a very well-balanced car on par with the e30 and the porsche 944, which was its main competitor at the time. plus it makes a sound like a goddamn italian muscle car.

anyone who likes the e30 but wants a bit of italian flair would be wise to look into one. prices are about the same, too.
