who runs a swapped car w NO PS??...

thoughts of deleting my PS have consumed me....my car is 99% track car..but its driven to all events.

I need to try someone's car before I pull the trigger.

so no one runs a ps delete 24v car in the tristate.....hmmmm.....

I did. No problem with 205 tires, just a little heavy while parking. Definitely more feedback though the wheel and plenty light steering at speed.

A lot of the autox guys retain theirs so it's easier in the tight corners, less to think about.

I'd recommend getting a block off plate and trying it, but don't remove the pump. Try it out while making it easily reversible. If you like it, go at it and remove it all. If not, there's nothing wrong with returning to stock.

2002's never came with power steering, just a sad little magic box that eats 1/2 of your steering input.

Just take it out. It feels way better. Just harder to park. Anything above 10mph is an improvement.

Im being a bit anal.......so I want to drive one first..but it sure sounds like something Ill end up doing. I really hate that the ps system is just such a pita on tracked cars. I was driving her the other day after a bleed....and w/ the ps it really is kinda too light in the effort dept.


maybe then Ill do a dtm style dash set up..

My PS pump went after having a leaking steering rack for about a year, I prefer the tighter steering and increased feedback. Except while parking, but its not that big of a deal. Girls like big arms.

Hey thats why im still driving without PS, im getting there... I got nothing, well I have a "rebuilt" rack and new pump sitting in my house. I'm just not installing it yet. I still need to come up there and collect some pieces.
