Cool, will do. Also found a place in NJ called Tyspeed that looks cool... if anyone has had any experience there that would be helpful too. Thanks.Leave a comment:

Thanks, I've actually been in touch with both guys.
Levent @ Guten has been very helpful — he pointed me to Convenience Collision in Bangor, PA and I've reached out.
Denis @ OMG has worked on my car 1st-hand and is a great guy to work with in general - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for anyone's mechanic needs but does not handle rust-repair.
Still open to any other suggestions — I agree, it should be an E30 specialist.

Ask on the NJ BMW CCA forum also (you do not need to be a CCA member to create a login); those guys are very well-connected and will point you in the right direction. (There's a highly regarded shop in PA but I forget the name.)Leave a comment:

damn that stinks. I would 100% make sure a reputable shop gets this done, unless someone is very meticulous and skilled. good luck man. Shops i know that are reputable, but not sure if they do this kind of work:
Guten Parts

E30 Rust Restoration Around NYC
Looks great, drives great, but has rust hidden beneath. Tourings are so hard to come by so I have to try and save it.
So far, what I know is is the rear spring perches are GONE.I also had a dead pedal last year, but now it's mush. I still weekend drive it as-is, but I know my days are numbered.
Would like to get someone that knows E30s, specifically regarding new spring perch fabrication or welding in ones from a donor car? Would also need to check extent of rust elsewhere and fix while we're at it.
Local recommendations appreciated, and any thoughts from experience, thanks.
