Help Removing Wiper Cover

For example look at this e30zone write up. My linkage is 180 degrees opposite what they are showing in pictures.

I got that cover off and have the blower fan removed, flappers disconnected etc and I am still struggling. Is anyone familiar with wipers? Is there an early/late car difference?

Those are some of the highest m20 numbers I have seen. I want to know every detail of this motor! I've never heard of an m20 diesel block before or anyone using 140mm rods in an m20.
