The Z3 and [e36] 318ti both have the same rear trailing arm setup like the e30. They will give you an idea of how a modified e30 would drive.

On the chance that the solenoid is old and built up resistance... at idle it's not getting enough juice to stay open. Can you rig up a connector to supply direct power to keep the solenoid open?

In the airbox, there is a flap that directs the air flow across the heater core. Is the temp control knob wire actually moving the flap?Leave a comment:

The increase in power you want will require rear fender work to get wider tires to handle it. Money, work and effort will not be worth it imho.
